BikeResults.com Announces First-Ever Cross-Discipline Ranking System
September 1 , 2001--Williston, VT - BikeResults.com, a leading company for providing value-based solutions for the cycling community, launched a cross-discipline ranking system for cycling, which will include results and rankings points from the various disciplines within cycling and break them down into categories.
This dynamic solution allows those who go to BikeResults.com the ability to search and compare personal results or those results of friends and other athletes. Geoff Elder, Chief Technology Officer for Global Reach Sports, explains, "Our Rankings system allows racers to track their progress in the sport and compare themselves to others. This is the most complete and accurate rankings process ever developed for cycling."
With the constant flow of results into the MyRaceResults Compute Center, rankings are updated continuously much like they are done in another sports community belonging to the MyRaceResults portfolio, Charles Schwab's Nastar.com. This provides a great service and value to the competitor as they constantly strive to improve, so these comparison tools help them in that direction.
Global Reach Sports president Andy Bishop adds, "People, and athletes/competitors in particular, are always captivated by statistics such as results and rankings. Consequently, that content becomes very sticky because it keeps people coming back and coming back. We are pleased to provide several tools for competitors and fans alike to monitor and record these stats!"
