Colorado Springs, Colo. (November, 6) - USA Cycling announced today the activation of its new online membership services effective Monday, November 10, 2003 at 10:00am E.S.T. The new online functionality, developed by Global Reach Sports, will provide USA Cycling members with the ability to purchase and renew licenses online at: USA Cycling.
The new web-based software package created by Global Reach Sports, the parent company of BikeResults.com, showcases the efforts of USA Cycling to better serve the needs of its members and event organizers through a higher level of customer service.
The project, to be launched in three phases, begins Monday with phase one. The first phase provides USA Cycling members with the ability to purchase, renew, and reissue licenses online. Additionally, members will be able to request upgrades and update their rider profile as well as request United Airlines bike vouchers.
The efficiency of the new system will ensure that licenses will be mailed to members no later than 48 hours after an online purchase. Also, immediately following a transaction, members can instantly print an authorization to ride form as proof of purchase that can be used in lieu of a physical license as evidence of eligibility. This element allows for someone to buy a license on a Saturday morning, and race that same afternoon with the authorization, for example.
Phase two will provide a results and rankings feature as well as online event permitting for promoters, while phase three allows for members to create an online race resume and results history.
"Our primary goal of this project is to better serve our members," says USA Cycling CEO, Gerard Bisceglia. "This new, streamlined, and efficient approach to serving our members gives us the platform to increase member satisfaction."
To access these new online member services, USA Cycling members need to create a username and password which they will use to login into their account on the homepage of USA Cycling.
Additionally, the traditional ways of purchasing a USA Cycling license will remain effective.
