BikeResults.com Combines With Team Devo for Skill Building Mountain Bike Camp

August 6, 2001--Dover, VT - For the first time ever, BikeResults.com, a leading company for providing value-based solutions for the cycling community, entered into the world of Cycling Camps when they teamed up with Team Devo to provide one of the best cycling camps in the world. Seventeen boys and girls took advantage of this opportunity to come hone their skills and have fun riding the challenging Vermont terrain.

The camp also served as preparation for the last NORBA National Classic Race, of which two participants--Nick Waite and Lea Davison--won the top-level Junior Classes. Of the seventeen, six will be representing the U.S. at the World Championships, to be held on September 14th at Vail Colorado.

The Team Devo-BikeResults Camp was offered to anyone ages 8 to 18. The program gave all ages and abilities an opportunity to ride with a Pro rider and experience Vermont mountain biking at its best. During the camp riders were educated on Technical Drills, Mechanical Topics and a variety of other cycling related material, and of course, rode some fun and challenging terrain.

John Kemp, director and founder of Team Devo, stated, "How exciting to be involved with BikeResults.com in providing this opportunity to young riders in our country. Though we have had huge success at the elite junior level, people sometimes forget that all these kids started in grassroots and local racing. This is where we can all have the greatest impact. That's why we are proud to be associated with a company such as BikeResults that really focuses on everyone with no exclusion."

The two organizations together provided scholarships to those who demonstrated financial need, while enrollment was on a first-come basis, no one was denied because of ability or organizational affiliation. Due to the overwhelming success, BikeResults.com and Team Devo plan on expanding direct contact with aspiring athletes for 2002 and beyond.
